Music for Young Children- Stirling

My main Conservatory training is in piano, but I also have been trained in voice and Musical Theory. As a Music for Young Children graduate myself, I can attest to the invaluable foundation it sets for young musicians. This program not only helps to establish strong musical practices, teaches children music theory in fun and engaging ways, but it also is a wonderful bonding time for a parent and t

heir child. I believe music is a language that all should be fluent in. MYC not only gives another form of communication for children and parents to access, it also increases the ability to communicate on richer and deeper levels. When I'm not teaching, I'm on stage performing in local musicals, accompanying soloists, composing music, furthering my own music studies, taking University classes online, or spending time with my family. I also work part time at our local library in the children's department. This has allowed me to be surrounded by two things I adore; books, and children. I believe communicating through music is like telling a story that ignites human emotions just the way a good book does. And like a good book, it can take you on adventures, it can help you explore array of emotions, and it can shape the way you see the world around you. Music is a gift. I look forward to partnering with you as we start you child's musical story.
