At Little Steps Pre-Kindergarten at Christ-King Catholic School, children learn, play, explore, and grow in a welcoming environment designed just for 3 and 4-year-olds. 📚 Calling Kind Hearted Booklovers, and anyone who can do funny voices! 📚

Our pre-k classroom is on the hunt for some amazing community volunteers who would be willing to pop in once a week to read a story to our little learners.

Let’s be honest… they are a tough crowd. They’ll interrupt your story 47 times to tell you about their cat, ask why the dinosaur isn’t wearing shoes, and proudly announce they had a hot dog for breakfast. 😂 But they’ll also hang on every page, celebrate your silly voices, and make you feel like the most important person in the room.

This is about so much more than reading a book. It’s about building relationships between our children and the incredible people who make up our community. When kids see familiar, caring adults showing up just because they matter, it leaves a lasting impression.

So if you’ve got 20–30 minutes a week, a love for stories, and don’t mind being asked, “How old are you?” within the first 30 seconds… we’d absolutely love to have you!

It truly takes a village to raise a child, and we’d love for our village to be part of our classroom. ❤️

Father’s Day arrived a bit early in Little Steps this year!
We celebrate all of our Little Steps dads and the incredible male role models who help guide, encourage, and support our students every day.
Whether you’re a father, grandfather, stepdad, uncle, coach, mentor, or trusted family friend, your presence makes a difference. The time you spend, the lessons you teach, and the love you share help shape confident, resilient, and kind young people.

Thank you for the countless ways you show up for our children. We are grateful for all that you do and wish you a very Happy Father’s Day! 💙
