All students will have the opportunity to be photographed on Picture Day. Proofs will be sent home with students at a later date, families can then choose to order photo packages online.

👕 Wear your favourite Picture Day outfit, bring your best smile, and get ready to say CHEESE!

📣 Grade 7 Orientation Drop-In Event 🎒

Dr. W.A. MacLeod Consolidated School will be hosting a drop-in Grade 7 Orientation on

at the school.

Incoming Grade 7 students and their families are invited to stop by for:

☀️📚 Back to School is Just Around the Corner! 🐾

It’s hard to believe, but summer is quickly coming to a close and another school year is almost here! We hope our DWAM families have been enjoying a wonderful summer and are starting to get excited about the year ahead.

Here are a few important dates and reminders as we prepare to welcome our Coyotes back to school:

📅 First Day of School
The first day of classes for all students is Thursday, September 3rd.

🎒 School Supply Lists
School supply lists can be found on our school website at dwam.ccrce.ca⁠ Our website is also a great place to find the school calendar, important school information, and updates about upcoming events.

💻 PowerSchool
PowerSchool will reopen to families on Wednesday, August 26th.

🍎 Nova Scotia School Lunch Program
Lunch ordering opens on Friday, August 28th at nslunch.ca⁠

⚠️ Please note: Cafeteria lunches will not begin until Tuesday, September 8th. Students will need to bring a lunch from home on Thursday, September 3rd and Friday, September 4th.

🏫 P–8 Open House
We will be hosting an Open House for students in Grades P–8 and their families on: Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:00–6:00 p.m.
More information about our Open House will be shared in the coming days.

📆 We have also attached the CCRCE School Calendar for families to save for easy reference throughout the year.

Term 3 report cards are being distributed electronically this morning. You should receive an email to access your child's report card. This is sent to the email you have registered in PowerSchool. If you do not see the email in your Inbox by 10:00am, please check your Junk and Spam folders. The email is sometimes filtered to these folders for various email addresses.

Your child is also able to access their own report card through their GNSPES Launch Page, by clicking the red Post icon, shaped as an evelope.

A reminder that there is no school for students on Monday, June 29th as this is a teacher assessment and evaluation day.

☀️ Our Middle School Field Day was a blast! 🎉

From ice cream treats to water games, sports and so much more, our students had an amazing day making memories and celebrating the end of the school year together.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible, including our Dr. W.A. MacLeod Home & School and SAC Committee for their support.

And a very special shoutout to Mrs. Gina MacGillivray for all of the hard work behind the scenes organizing this fantastic event and bringing it all together for our students! 👏🐺
