Mrs. McPherson’s Grade 4 class enjoyed a wonderful hike along the trail! Our explorers gathered twigs and other natural treasures to use in our upcoming art activities. We also put our new binoculars to good use as we looked closely at the plants, trees, and wildlife around us. What a beautiful way to explore and appreciate our habitat!

Mr. Milbury’s 7/8 science classes are thrilled to be taking part in Bug Quest, a research project being put on by the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics at the University of Guelph. The research helps scientists learn more about the incredible world of insects and other invertebrates in our environment all across Canada! We’re excited to contribute to this research and see what our local malaise trap discovers! 🐜🪰🦋

Curious about the trap? Come take a look!
We welcome people to stop by and have a peek at the malaise trap and see what it looks like in action. Just remember — look, but please don’t touch! The trap is part of an ongoing research project, so leaving it undisturbed helps ensure that the researchers get accurate results.

We’re excited to see what kinds of bugs we find in our ecosystem and to be part of a project that helps us better understand the biodiversity around us. 🌎🔬🐞
