Avast! Green Valley School is one month into their voyage into the briney deep of the prairies with a new logo and branding. Over the summer, we've been working with the school to take their original GVS pirates logo and update it while also giving the school a parallel but unique identity from the athletics department.
The new school pirate ship logo offers a fresh look for the school as a whole but also symbolizes a shared journey toward success, excellence, and school unity. Just as a ship’s crew works together to navigate toward a common destination, the students, staff, and families of GVS are all invited to “get on board” in creating a safe, caring, and inspiring learning environment.
The refreshed look for the Green Valley Pirates honours the team’s legacy while bringing a more modern and spirited identity to the school community. The new design captures the pride, determination, and adventurous nature of the Pirates. The updated branding also includes both male and female mascot options, creating a more inclusive identity that represents the entire Pirates community.
Design-wise, we built this from scratch so creating the angles of the pirates' heads and the ship was a bit of a challenge but we're so pleased with how it turned out!
We've got our sea legs and we're ready to set sail into a new school year! Yo ho! 🏴☠️
