Having fun in the sun with some wonderful people! My favourite part of the day is the first spot throwing the livescope in and knowing the hunt is on. These big walleyes have been a little tricky as of late but once you find those suspended ones they are the ones that wanna eat and they wanna eat now. Learning daily and trying new areas all over the lake is one of my favourite things to do! Clients are catching big numbers of fish daily and some really good smallmouth mixed in as well! Have a beauty Friday can't wait to see what hits the net today!

Two-Week Recap of Our Wild Adventures!

What a ride it’s been the last couple weeks—full of highs, lows, and memories we won’t forget!

It all kicked off at the Kenora Walleye Open, where Ryan and I were fired up and finally stuck a solid fish on Day 1, giving us a shot to climb the leaderboard. We were celebrating, pumped, and ready to go… only for the motor to blow up five minutes later. Just like that, we went from cloud nine to breakdown blues.

But instead of calling it, we made the slow journey back to Kenora, picking off some average slot fish along the way. Somehow, we still made it to weigh-in and kept ourselves in the hunt.

Huge shoutout to the boys who came through and lent us a boat for Day 2—thanks to that, we rallied hard and jumped up into 9th place! If Day 1 had gone smoothly, who knows where we could’ve ended up. Still, it just wasn’t our year to shine—but man, I wouldn’t trade the memories for anything. Always an awesome time fishing this tourney with my best buddy.

Massive thanks to Mike Davey for lending us his boat and making Day 2 possible.

Still boatless, but friends like have been absolute lifesavers—can’t thank you enough for letting me borrow your rig. I owe you big time, brother! Hoping to be back in my tiller by the end of the week and chasing fish all over this incredible lake again.

We’ve had some unreal experiences lately—crazy musky and walleye bites, and Bryce even lost two of the biggest muskies I’ve ever seen right at the boat. Heartbreaking, but such a good learning moment for both of us.

Hope everyone had a great Canada Day and is having an awesome start to summer. Super excited for what’s coming next and for all the groups I get to bring out on the water soon.

And to anyone I’ve had to cancel due to all the boat drama—I’m really sorry and appreciate your patience. We’ll be back and better soon!

Beauty time of year to be out chasing these lakers! We're having multi days with huge numbers of walleyes,smallies and than mixing in lakers in the afternoon. The walleye fishing this last couple weeks has been something special. Up shallow pitching jigs with the livescope it honestly doesn't get better. We don't got many days left to book so make sure to message or call if you would like to experience the beauty of Lake of the woods!

I always get asked when is the best time to target big walleyes! That's always a tough answer because with the seasons always changing weather being a huge factor you ave to adjust on the fly! There are certain areas where there are larger numbers of larger fish but also areas that hold giants and not big numbers of them! There are stretches where it's tough to catch a giant but most of the time if we put in the work I will find you a trophy walleye! The chase is honestly the best! Book soon and contact me to discuss your next adventure and when it would be best to catch the fish of your dreams!
