GRADUATE TRIP - DAY 6 and 7
(Long post with some student comments at the end!!)
On Thursday July 2nd, we checked out of our hotel and stored our luggage early at the airport so we could trek downtown via Train and Subway to get to the Toronto Sign. We had supper at Finn MacCool’s at the airport while waiting for our late night flight back to Saskatoon.
Before driving back home on Friday, we stopped in at Midtown for last minute shopping.
This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our graduates as they got enjoy it together. The students that had signed up for it had such a great time each day 😊 They were a very respectful and responsible group of students.
Thank you to the chaperones (Donna Hardlotte, Colleen Ballantyne, Sharon Charles, and Troy McKenzie) for generously giving your time to accompany our graduates on their trip to Toronto. Your guidance, patience, and care made this experience both safe and unforgettable.
We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to Stanley Mission Prevention for their extraordinary generosity in sponsoring 100% of our graduates’ trip to Toronto. Because every travel expense was covered, the fundraising our graduates worked so hard on went directly toward providing them with extra spending money, allowing them to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience even more.
We would also like to sincerely thank our local LLRIB Council for their continued support, encouragement, and belief in our young people. Your investment in our graduates sends a powerful message that their achievements matter and that their community stands proudly behind them as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
This trip is more than just a celebration - it is also a meaningful incentive for graduates who made the commitment to abstain from alcohol and drugs on grad night. We are incredibly proud of the choices they have made and hope this experience serves as a reminder that positive decisions can lead to incredible opportunities.
We hope to continue this incredible incentive for future graduates to come.
~Grace McKenzie, Director of Education

The graduation trip was truly a once in a lifetime experience . It was a week full of fun and unforgettable moments like going to Niagara Falls and watching a Blue Jays game. Not many people get to experience something like that.

The trip was full of thrill, excitement, exploration and fun. I’m more than thankful for such an experience which was like no other. From the beginning to the end everything was well organized, full of great new experiences and surrounded by a wonderful group of people. Thanks again to Grace, all the chaperones, and my graduating classmates. For the next graduates to come: attend school everyday, try your best no matter what and have fun while you’re at it. GRAD TRIP TO TORONTO!
Yesterday was our first day! Took a “nap” when we got to Saskatoon and we were off to the airport by 4am. We got to Toronto at 11:30am (9:30am SK time), checked in and relaxed for the rest of the day due to lack of sleep. The kids are enjoying themselves and are excited for today’s plans. We will post those tomorrow 😊
