So today in class, I’m walking around doing my usual “assistant teacher lap,” pretending I’m checking assignments when really I’m just making sure nobody is trying to trade Pokémon cards under the desk again.

And then I see this kid.

This kid didn’t just come to school ready to read…
He came ready to set the entire mood.

He’s got his book open like he’s about to deliver a TED Talk.
He’s wearing headphones the size of satellite dishes.
And on his Chromebook?
A whole crackling fireplace video playing like he’s reading in a Colorado cabin during a snowstorm.

I swear he created a better vibe than my entire apartment.

I asked him, “Hey bud, what’s with the fireplace?”
And without looking up, he goes,
‘It helps me focus.’
Like he’s a 48-year-old novelist on a deadline.

At that moment, half the class is wiggling in their chairs, dropping pencils, sneezing into open air…
Meanwhile this kid is over here discovering the secrets of the universe with Chapter 7 and artificial ambience.

Honestly?
If grades were based on vibes alone, this man is going straight to Harvard.

Let's take it outside! Spending time outdoors can be transformative.

It regulates, calms, invigorates and focuses a child all at the same time.

Get out their wiggly-woos and blow away the bad moods with a dose of expansive sky and fresh air.
