It was wonderful to see all the cultural items worn by staff and students today. From beaded earrings and lanyards, to sashes, and beautiful ribbon skirts! Don’t forget to “Rock your Mocs” for tomorrow

Our kindergarten to grade 12 students hit the track and the road today for the Terry Fox Run. Thank you to Mrs. Morsette for organizing it all, the Fire Department crew for keeping us safe, and our awesome volunteers for keeping us hydrated along the way!

Exciting news!!! St. Laurent school is happy to announce that we have partnered with the MMF to open a before and after school child care program! It is affiliated with the new daycare being built by the MMF near the bank. Our ribbon cutting and opening ceremony took place yesterday in the new space. We shared this celebration with the RM and special guest Wab Kinew!
Keep an eye out for more details regarding opening dates, etc. in the near future.

Next week, St. Laurent School will be having “A Week of Remembrance” to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Another Terry Fox reminder to bring your toonies for Terry. Run is on Monday.

The grade 8s got a treat today . They met the author of the novel they are reading in class. Thank you Wab Kinew for signing out books and talking about the novel.
