🇨🇦 MANITOBA IMMIGRATION UPDATE 🚨

IRCC has introduced the Manitoba Workforce Transition Bridge, a targeted public policy that may allow eligible Manitoba temporary workers to obtain an open work permit while pursuing permanent residence through the Manitoba PNP.

📌 Who may qualify?

* Supported by Manitoba
* Had a Manitoba support letter on or before December 31, 2025
* Was in the Manitoba PNP EOI pool by that date
* Has the required employment and work-permit status

👥 The measure targets up to 2,700 workers and runs until December 31, 2027.

⚠️ Important: This is NOT a new general open work-permit pathway. It is specifically for a defined group of existing Manitoba workers who met the earlier requirements.

👉 If you or your client had a Manitoba PNP support letter before the cutoff, review your eligibility now.

🇨🇦 BC PNP UPDATE — 602 INVITATIONS! 🚨

British Columbia issued 602 invitations on August 20, 2026 under its Innovate: High Economic Impact category.

📌 337 invitations went to candidates earning at least $55/hour and $110,000 annually in eligible TEER 0–3 occupations.

📌 265 invitations went to candidates with a minimum BC PNP score of 132.

⚠️ Important: BC is targeting high-economic-impact candidates. This does not mean a general graduate or international-student stream has reopened.

Consultant tip: BC PNP thresholds can change between draws, so eligible candidates should regularly review their profile, occupation, wage, employer and score.

British Columbia has received 1,000 additional PNP nominations for 2026, bringing the province’s total allocation to 6,254 nominations.

The focus remains on healthcare, construction, skilled trades, high-economic-impact talent, and candidates working outside Metro Vancouver.

⚠️ More nominations does not mean automatic selection. BC is still targeting candidates who meet its labour-market priorities.
