⚽️⚽️⚽️- When the World Cup is on and the people in your little neighbourhood community are from all over the world, you've just got to get together! That's what grad students at Signal Hill Campus did when the World Cup final was on! Reps from Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, India, Iran, France, Germany, Jamaica, United States, Vietnam were all in the room, eyes on the screen, some happier than others but all enjoying the spirit and the snacks!

- Members of the Signal Hill Campus community from Conference and Event Services and Gardiner Centre were happy to step up on the Pride Steps at Emera Innovation Exchange in recognition of the St. John's Pride Festival July 8-19.

- Students at Signal Hill Campus love living overlooking the North Atlantic, but many of its treasures - like the capelin and the swimming - aren't happening in the Harbour.
For the capelin, Daniel found that Middle Cove at sunrise is the place to be. As for the swimming, it was close (!), but Topsail Beach in August will allow for a slightly more leisurely swim!

Signal Hill Campus Residents Flying High - When you live on Signal Hill you get pretty comfortable with heights, so in search of excitment and adventure, three grad students headed for Petty Harbour to zip over the hills.
They had a blast, celebrated birthdays generally, and were maybe inspired to start a whole new line!

On Tuesday June 30, from noon to 4 pm, members of Memorial's community are gathering to watch the live stream of the official unveiling of the new Danger Tree at Beaumont Hamel. Check the Gazette events for event details - https://gazette.mun.ca/events/
One hundred and ten years after Beaumont-Hamel, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice and loss that inspired the founding of Memorial University.
Join us on Tuesday, June 30, in the Bruneau Centre for Research & Innovation Inco Theatre (IIC-2001) as we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme and Beaumont-Hamel.
There will be a live stream of commemorative events taking place in France, including the unveiling of a new replica of the iconic Danger Tree, a lasting symbol of remembrance for the Newfoundland Regiment.
As a living memorial to those who served, Memorial University honours their legacy and ensure their stories continue to be remembered.
