Today, on World Entrepreneurs' Day, we're celebrating those moments and the founders bold enough to chase them.

To our student founders and alumni: thank you for dreaming loud, building fearlessly, and refusing to wait for "someday." You're not just being entrepreneurial; you're rewriting what's possible.

Here's to the ideas still forming, the pitches still being perfected, and the ventures that haven't launched yet - but definitely will.

⭐ MCE Student Founder Spotlight | Liam Yandon

For Liam Yandon, time spent in heavy industry revealed a challenge that sparked a bigger vision: how can we make climate solutions more practical and accessible for the industries that need them most? 🌎

As the founder of TerraEos, Liam is developing next-generation carbon capture solutions designed to help industries reduce emissions while remaining economically competitive.

Through MCE’s Student-in-Residence (SiR) program, Liam is turning an engineering insight into a venture with the potential to create meaningful impact. 🚀

Meet Brett Vokey, Founder & CEO of BreatheSuite and winner of the 2018 Mel Woodward Cup.

What started as a bold idea at Memorial University has grown into a healthcare innovation company transforming pulmonary rehabilitation through virtual care. Today, BreatheSuite is helping patients across North America breathe easier, regain independence, and improve their quality of life.

Brett's journey is a powerful reminder that the best ventures begin with empathy—a desire to solve real problems and improve people's lives. Through innovation, perseverance, and purpose, he has built a company that is creating measurable impact for patients, healthcare providers, and communities.

This is more than an entrepreneurial success story—it's proof that when purpose meets innovation, ideas can change lives.

We wish Brett and the BreatheSuite team continued success as they expand their impact and make pulmonary care more accessible for patients everywhere. 💙

The Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship (MCE) hosted another inspiring ETP session featuring Suren Margaryan, Co-Founder & COO of CAKEYHAND and Memorial University and MCE alumnus.

Suren introduced participants to the Entrepreneur Emotional Curve—the different stages founders often experience while building a venture—and used the evolution of CAKEYHAND as a real-world example to bring these concepts to life. Suren highlighted the importance of adaptability, persistence, and maintaining an entrepreneurial mindset throughout the venture-building journey.
