COACH PROFILE: COACH MATTHEW WHALEN - U14 Boys Team 2 and U10 Boys
Coach Matthew has been taking the basketball world by storm here in the province. Entering his first year at Memorial University, Matthew already has three years of coaching experience under his belt.

This Summer, he coached in the Provincial program for U14 boys before coaching our U14 Avalon Travel Team in Montreal. A recent graduate from Queen Elizabeth Regional High, Matthew has also been an assistant coach for the Brother Rice Grade 8 team and was part of the staff that lead them to a grade 8 championship this past season.

This season, he will be head coaching our U14 Boys Team 2 along with leading our U10 Boys group. The Avalon family is beyond thrilled to have Coach Matthew back for another season!
