🧡 Today, September 30th, marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Avalon Karate remains OPEN today, with all regularly scheduled classes running as usual.
As we go about our day, we encourage our community to take time to learn, listen, reflect, and recognize the history and ongoing impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous Peoples, families, and communities across Canada.

We're excited to be bringing Fefe's Festive Fair back to the dojo this December!! 🎄🎅

I know things have been a little quiet around here lately, so I wanted to pop on with a quick Fefe’s Festive Fair 2.0 update!

We are officially NEARLY SOLD OUT of vendor spaces for this year’s Festive Fair! 😍

🎄 Saturday: SOLD OUT
🎄 Sunday: 6 spots remaining
🎄 Both Days: 4 spots remaining

We will be completely up to date on application approvals as of this evening!

📩 If you applied before September 10th and haven’t heard from us, PLEASE check your junk/spam folder! We have responded to all applicants from before this date, and our emails sometimes like to hide in there!

SO... WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! 👀

This week we will be working on getting our official Facebook Event Page LIVE! Once it’s up, we ask all of our amazing vendors to help us start spreading the word by marking yourselves as Interested/Going and sharing the event with your family, friends, followers & customers! ❤️

💰 Vendor Payments:
As outlined in the application and your approval emails, all vendor payments are due by November 6th.

Once payments start wrapping up, we officially kick things into FULL FESTIVE FAIR MODE! 🎅🎄

That means:
✨ Vendor spotlights & announcements
✨ Online advertising
✨ Our jumbo roadside sign at the market location
✨ Event promotion & sharing
✨ And lots more as we get closer!

We had nearly 600 people through the doors at our first Festive Fair, and we cannot wait to see what Fefe’s Festive Fair 2.0 brings! 🥰

The support we’ve received from our local community over these two car washes has been incredible. Every vehicle, every donation, and every person who stops by is helping our athletes get one step closer to Glasgow and the 2026 Commonwealth Karate Championships! 🥋🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

🚗💦 DAY 2 — WE’RE BACK AT IT! 🥋🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Team Ascend is back for Week 2 of our Car Wash Fundraiser, helping our athletes wash their way to the 2026 Commonwealth Karate Championships in Glasgow, Scotland!
We had an incredible turnout last weekend, and we’re ready to do it all over again today!
Come by, get your vehicle cleaned up, meet some of our athletes and families, and support the team. Every donation helps get us one step closer to Glasgow!
