Students from the Lakecrest graduating class of 2023 returned to the school today, to collect their “Letters to Myself”. A truly inspiring keepsake written when they were Grade 9 students, to only be opened once completing high school. We are beyond proud of the high school graduates and have every confidence that our Lakecrest alumni will soar to great heights at university!❤️🎓

Congratulations to our Chamber Choir and Ms. Warren on an outstanding performance at yesterday’s Rotary Festival! Your hard work, dedication, and beautiful voices truly shone through, and we are so proud of the way you represented Lakecrest. Well done on such a wonderful performance!

Today’s featured masterpiece is brought to you by Ms. Hart's Grade 6 students:

Stained Glass Art, titled: Enchanted Forest 🌲💚
"The students each designed a unique tree, cut the glass, grinded the edges, wrapped the edges in copper foil, soldier the glass, cleaned and polished to finish"

All of our grades’ artwork will be auctioned at the much anticipated Live Auction happening at our Fundraiser & Auction the evening of May 8.

Our Grade 7 & 8 students took on a unique experience with woven art!

Each student has created their own unique but also cohesive weaving piece. Using the same color palette, students selected various yarn, fabric, and other materials to weave a unique individual piece, which has been combined into one large hanging. With the guidance from Ms. Heather Reeves (a local multimedia artist and retired high school art teacher) the students helped to create their own individual loom, then wove their own individual piece by using it.

We wish to thank Ms. Reeves, and all of our Lakecrest volunteer helpers for their support!

This guitar has been hand‑painted and uniquely designed by our Terrific Grade 2 students, making it as special as it is fun to play or display!"

Today is Multicultural day so students are encouraged to dress to represent their culture!
