The MUN Folklore Society is a student organization for all students, from undergraduates to doctoral candidates, who are either pursuing Folklore Studies or who are interested in learning more about folklore, ethnography, ethnomusicology, performance, and general cultural studies. The society chooses a new elective, including the president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer each fall term. Folklore undergraduates are encouraged to run for these positions.

Hello everyone,
Please join us this evening in ED-4008 for our last meeting of the fall semester, starting at 7pm.
We will be planning events for the winter semester and discussing any last-minute things for this year before the holiday break.
We will also be hosting our last event of the semester this coming Friday, December 5th, from 5-8pm in ED-4036. Feel free to bring any activities, books, or materials you’d like to work on!

Our last meeting of the fall semester will also be next Tuesday, December 2nd to allow our executives and members to prepare for exams. Any questions or topics relating to events or society inquires can be forwarded to [email protected].
Our weekly meetings will resume in early January after the holiday break!
