The Wilson group specializing in multiscale computational modeling of biochemical systems. Using computer models the group works to understand the membrane-embedded enzymes (i.e., glycosyltransferases) responsible for the glycan modifications of proteins, RNA, and lipids, as well as the impact of these glycans on biomolecular structure and function. Other work in the group is focused on understanding the bacterial cell membrane and the development of novel antibiotics to treat antibiotic resistant infections. The insight gained from the groups work can help better understand and treat diseases such as bacterial infections and cancer.
Are you a MUN undergrad and interested in working with us? Apply for a MUCEP position in the group by Friday September 19th!
