Memorial students Lucas Fowler, Haley Adams, Thomas O’Brien, Evan Natsheh and Allison Spurrell from the Faculty of Science are gaining hands-on research experience while helping advance important discoveries in environmental health.

Working alongside Dr. Lindsay Cahill and Dr. Ashlyn Swift-Gallant, the students are part of a CIHR-funded project exploring how micro and nanoplastics may affect pregnancy and early development.

Robyn Cumben, a master’s student of experimental psychology from Grand Bank, NL, has published a new study in the Journal of S*x Research examining how bereaved individuals maintain intimate connections with deceased partners through memory.

The research challenges assumptions that desire fades after loss and highlights how intimacy can persist in complex, deeply human ways.
