Our hearts around the world project has been a huge success. The children have learned so much. We got a special care package all the way from Australia. Some cards from Greece, England, Spain and Germany as well as some extra special ones from close to home. Such an amazing experience. We also mailed some surprise cards to our parents and had a visit with a mail carrier. We have received almost 80 cards and still have a few more on the way. Will definitely become an annual activity for our group. tth

We are starting to get some mail. So far we have received from Hawaii, Alberta and two from NL.

Next week I will have a mail carrier come to visit and we'll chat about how the mail moves

Caterpillar Clubhouse is working on a Valentine’s project called Hearts From Around the World ❤️🌍

We're hoping to receive Valentine hearts from as many places as possible to show the kids how love can come from everywhere.

This year instead of doing secret Santa our little group decided to collect for the Single Parents Association.

Today we’re celebrating National Child Day—a day that recognizes the rights, voices, and unique potential of every child. It’s a reminder that children deserve to feel safe, valued, and included as they learn and grow.

At daycare, we honour this day by listening to children’s ideas, supporting their choices, and giving them plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and build confidence. Every child deserves to shine, and today we celebrate just how special they are.

We did apple investigation today. Someone gave us apples from their trees. The children loved talking about them and then doing a taste test
