“The Seafarer's Requiem” is a Celtic and classical fusion that combines the Requiem Mass and seafarer songs with tales of true stories, taken from archives and documentaries about mariners and the people they leave behind.
Composed by Mary Knickle, The Seafarer's Requiem is a profoundly haunting piece. It was written to honour those who have lost their lives at sea, be they: fishermen, solo sailors or naval personnel, and those left on land.
