⛵ Whistler Regatta 2025 ⛵

This past weekend our sailors have been competing at Alta Lake for the annual Whistler Regatta! Two days of racing in the mountains made for an incredible experience, with everyone showing great effort and sportsmanship out on the water. Just taking part in such a fun and competitive event was an achievement in itself 👏

A special shout-out to Mica, who finished 2nd in the Opti White class, and to Conal, who took 3rd in the Opti White class 🏅 Well done to both of you, and to all our SYC sailors who raced hard and supported each other all weekend!

A fun end to the week with dress-up day at Squamish Yacht Club — this time featuring minions and mermaids on the docks. 🧜‍♀️⚓️

🌊 Week 1 Highlights: Junior Sailing & Kayaking Camp 🚣‍♂️⛵️
Sunshine, sea breeze, and endless smiles! Our 7–10 year-olds dove into their first week of sailing and kayaking—learning boat basics, teamwork, and water safety. Watching them steer and paddle with growing confidence has been such a joy.

Cheers to new friendships made on the water and thanks to all the families who trusted us with your little adventurers!

We’re looking forward to welcoming our junior sailors on Monday morning as we kick off the summer sailing season!

Most of our sessions have filled up quickly, but we still have a few spots available in the following courses:

• Intro to Sailing – July 28 to August 1
• CAN Sail Levels 1–3 – July 14 to 28 (Monday to Friday, with no session on July 18)
