Yearlong BOB is full for September but there are many other opportunities to work with our BOB team around SAM. Ask us about our group singing classes or private voice lessons. 🎤

🎵 Song & Dance Camp
August 10–14

There’s still time to sing and dance with us this summer!

If your child loves to move, sing, and perform, this collaborative camp brings together the best of both worlds.
Students explore favourite musical theatre repertoire while developing vocal technique, expressive movement, and performance skills. Led by instructors from Squamish Academy of Music and Squamish Dance Centre, the week culminates in a fun showcase celebrating everything they’ve learned.
Whether your child is brand new to performing or already has experience on stage, they’ll be challenged, encouraged, and inspired in a positive, collaborative environment.

As we reflect on this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast, we’re reminded that this story is about so much more than appearances. At its heart, it is a coming-of-age story about discovering who we are when we look beyond expectations, fears, and first impressions.

Belle dreams of a life larger than the one others imagine for her. She refuses to let the world define her by what is familiar or expected. The Beast, too, must discover that his past mistakes do not have to determine his future. Through courage, humility, and compassion, they each grow into the people they are capable of becoming. ⭐️

As we watch our young performers bring this story to life, we see those same journeys unfolding on our stage. Every rehearsal has been an opportunity to build confidence, develop resilience, take creative risks, and discover new strengths.

Theatre asks us to step into someone else’s shoes, to listen deeply, to collaborate, and to support one another. In doing so, we often learn just as much about ourselves as we do about the characters we portray.
Like Belle and the Beast, they each have the opportunity to grow, to change, and to write their own story with kindness, courage, and authenticity.💛

As our BOB kids get ready to preform their production of Beauty and the Beast, we’re looking back on our performance from last year: The Little Mermaid!

Last year’s show was full of laughs, touching moments and so many skilled performers❤️

Tomorrow night, Beauty and the Beast opens and is sure to be just as wonderful! There are only a few tickets left so grab them while you can. 🎟️🥀

Join 35 local youth on July 24th and 25th in a presentation of this romantic and beloved classic fairytale. 🥀🎭

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

It’s sure to be an entertaining and captivating show! ⭐️

Fall Group Class Registration for school aged students opens tomorrow at noon!

Group classes at the Squamish Academy of Music offer a welcoming and engaging way for musicians to begin or expand their musical journey. These classes are thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity, develop foundational skills, and nurture confidence within a supportive group setting.

Students learn through fun, interactive lessons that balance musicianship, creativity, and collaboration, so that they can feel successful early on and stay motivated to keep learning. With opportunities to perform, high-quality instruction, and a strong sense of community, our group classes help students explore music in a kind and joyful environment, while also laying the groundwork for long-term growth.

As we wrap up 2026 we want to offer a huge congratulations to all participating piano and voice students.

Of course we were impressed by the high levels of musicianship on display, but also the focus, dedication, support and kindness.

We are so proud of the community we’ve fostered where we celebrates each other’s wins, encourage, and inspire! 💕
