I'm excited to be offering a couple different 4-week, small-group music programs over the summer!

***Intro to the Piano***
- Beginner level piano lessons (no previous lessons)
- Ages 6 - 10 (I will try to group similar ages if possible)
- 4 students per class
- 45-minute lessons
- Students will learn finger numbers, note values, and the names of the notes on the piano. They will learn a couple fun, easy songs each week and work on one larger “big project “ song throughout the four weeks
- See if piano lessons are right for your child without committing to a whole semester!

***Rock Band Class***
- An introduction to playing simple pop songs using the piano, guitar, drums, bass and vocals.
- No musical experience required (but would be helpful!)
- Ages 8-12
- 4 students per class
- 60-minute lessons
- Students will learn a couple fun, easy songs each week and work towards one larger “big project “ song throughout the four weeks

Registration is now open for spring 2021 PIANO LESSONS and MUSIC THERAPY sessions! I have spots available on Monday-Thursday afternoons out of my home studio in the Highlands.

A bit about me:
I studied piano at Vancouver Community College and have a bachelor degree in music therapy from Capilano University. I have taught piano for over 15 years and have worked as a music therapist for the past 9 years.

My piano lessons are tailored to each student's age, abilities and learning style. I make lessons fun by incorporating games, musical improvisation and of course, favourite music! I can teach a variety of styles from popular to classical and encourage students to bring me their favourite songs to learn.

I studied classical piano at Vancouver Community College and have a bachelor degree in music therapy from Capilano University and a masters in Gerontology from SFU (this last degree is not so relevant, but it was hard work so going to mention it! Lol). I have taught piano off and on for over 15 years and have worked as a music therapist for the past 9 years.

My piano lessons are tailored to each student's age, abilities and learning style. I make lessons fun by incorporating games, musical improvisation and of course, favourite music! I can teach a variety of styles from popular to classical and encourage students to bring me their favourite songs to learn.
