The grade 7 crew certainly embodied their theme of 'hummingbirds' on their end-of-year trip to the South Chilcotins last week. Through uncertainty they acted courageously and resiliently, rising to the occasion and coming out the other side extremely proud of what they accomplished.
This experience is something they will remember for years to come!
Students came together as a community, supporting each other through the "pain cave" with humour and humility.
We hope this experience encourages them to continue exploring the unknown and pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone. Keep flying little hummingbirds, one drop of water at a time!

This lucky crew gets to end their year with a hiking adventure in beautiful Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island.
Did you know that Strathcona is BC’a oldest provincial park? Established in 1911, the park traces a valley used by early explorers and mountaineers to access the island’s highest peaks.

The group chose Hummingbirds as one of their themes for this trip as in many indigenous stories they symbolize joy, beauty, resilience, wisdom, and courage. ✨

Mr. Logan bid this amazing crew of grade 12 students (and Mr. A) bon voyage as they set off for their North Coast of BC adventure.
We can't wait to hear all about it when they get back in 10 days.

Huge congratulations to the CMA Senior Ultimate Frisbee team!
While we love scoring points, we are incredibly proud to announce that the Owls took home the prestigious Spirit of the Game (SOTG) Award at last weekend's BC Ultimate Society High School Championships!
For those new to the sport, SOTG is the highest honour a team can receive. Because Ultimate is completely self-refereed, players call their own fouls and resolve disputes with honesty and mutual respect. Winning this means our CMA athletes competed hard while showcasing elite sportsmanship, integrity, and character.
Way to represent Coast Mountain Academy on and off the field, team!

Being voted Valedictorian is a huge honour! It means the people who know him the best at CMA (his classmates) want Dominic to represent them at their Graduation Ceremony.
