A bit about me! I've been involved in music from a young age. As a child, I was involved in group classes and still have very fond memories from that time! Growing up, I learned to play piano, flute, cello, and guitar... but my favourite instrument has always been voice. I have sung in many choirs over the years including our local Sea to Sky Community Singers in Squamish.
In terms of education, I hold a Music Minor (University of Waterloo) and also have a PhD in Psychology. I have been involved in children and family programming in Squamish, as a educator with CUP Kids after school program, a camp leader for Survivor Camp, and a leader for the "Go Wild!" Pro-D Day camp. I look forward to connecting with more young children and families, and helping them to discover the joy of music!

Hello Everyone! I'm Heather Mann -- and I'm excited to bring Music for Young Children (MYC) to Squamish, BC for the first time this year!
MYC offers children a chance to learn strong music fundamentals in a fun and playful group setting. The Sunrise program is a music & movement program where children will learn with puppet friends Buzz, Buddy and Mellow. Together, we will build skills in singing, rhythm, ear-training, and more!
The Sunrise program is a pre-keyboard program for children ages 2-4. It has 3 blocks, which are each 10 weeks in length. Classes for Sunrise 1 will be held on Tuesdays at 10am, from Sept 28 - Nov 30, 2021.
