Today, we want to take a moment to shine a massive spotlight on our incredible Custodial and Maintenance Team!

Every single day, before many of us arrive and long after we leave, this hardworking team is working tirelessly to keep our facilities clean, safe, and running smoothly. From fixing unexpected repairs and keeping our spaces spotless to managing behind-the-scenes logistics, their dedication ensures we always have a welcoming environment to come to.

Their work isn't always visible in the moment, but the impact is felt every single day.

To our maintenance and custodial staff: Thank you for your hard work, your continuous dedication, and everything you do for our community. We appreciate you more than words can say!

BROOKWOOD, YOU ARE AMAZING!

What an incredible energy at our Kindness Counts Assembly! 🐺

Our Brookwood family showed up in a HUGE way for our local food bank drive, bringing in an outstanding 847 lbs of food! Combined with Millgrove’s 849 lbs, our two school communities raised a staggering 1,696 lbs of food to support families in need!

We also saw incredible generosity during our Toonies for Terry campaign, raising $683.40! While we were just shy of our $1000 stretch goal, Mr. Mackay was such a good sport that he took a tart to the face anyway - courtesy of our beloved mascot, Howler! (A tart instead of a pie, but every bit as messy!)

Thank you to all our students, staff, and families for demonstrating true kindness, community spirit, and generosity. Way to show up, Brookwood! 💙🐾

Join us tomorrow for our Kindness Counts Assembly at 2:30 in the Brookwood gym!

We will finally be revealing the grand total from our recent food drive for the Parkland Food Bank. Will we be the reigning champions against Millgrove for 2 years in a row?? Join us and find out!

Tomorrow morning is the deadline to bring in those last minute donations!

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated.
Your generosity makes a real difference in our community!

Important Reminder for Families & Students! 🧡
This school year, our school will be observing Orange Shirt Day on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Don't forget to wear orange tomorrow! Let's show our collective support, honour Residential School Survivors, and remember that Every Child Matters.

Please Note: There is NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, September 30 in observance of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. Take this time with your families to reflect, learn, and listen to Indigenous voices.

Get ready to run, walk, and roll, Brookwood! 👟🏃‍♂️✨

Our annual Terry Fox Run is taking place on Friday, September 25th at 2:00 PM!

We’re so excited to carry on Terry’s legacy of courage and hope as a school community. Students and staff will be heading outside to log our kilometers for cancer research.

Make sure students are dressed for the weather with comfortable running shoes and a water bottle.

Let’s come together, show our Brookwood spirit, and try to beat cancer one step at a time!
