Where the Sun Shines

November! Colder weather brings more time spent indoors, slowing down and table activities. The kids are enjoying lots of Christmas music, sledding, pillow forts, duplo Lego, play dough and now ofcourse fresh snow falls!

🍁 🍃 September/October.. from shorts and snacks outside to mittens and the first snowfall. We’re outside everyday, the changing weather just gives the kids new things to explore. Crunchy leaves, changing colours, new smells and tons more. We adventured around the pond and talked about the geese that we watched grown up all year who will be flying south soon. We adventured to the library which is now offering fun programs for the kids since September. We adventured to a new to us park last month and we’re still talking about the laughing squirrels. And ofcourse all the in between moments of playing, dancing, building, learning together and about each other around the house.

August flew by! Our chicks hatched and we had tons of fun with them, sad to see them go! The last month of summer was a blue blazer everyday and we lived outside! Water fights and sprinkler fun, a trip to the spray park, and lots of backyard fun. A couple trips to the library and some rare afternoons in playroom to escape the heat. Crafts were few and far between but the sunscreen ran dry haha! I’m ready for some cooler weather and the holiday season to start up! Happy September 😊

JULY!! We enjoyed everyday of the 30 degree weather!! 🥰😎 made a trip to spray park, jumped through the sprinkler and splashed in the pool. Cooled off inside with play dough, sensory bins, and crafts. Couple trips to the library to stock up on books, then off to the sand park with our beach toys! Above all we’re growing together and having fun learning about our surroundings. OH YEAH.. WE GOT CHICKEN EGGS!! .. 🐣

JUNE! .. What an amazing summer month! The weather was fantastic and you better believe we made the MOST of it! Trip to the spray park, sprinkler fun, tons of water play, lunch’s on the deck, bus adventures around town, messy process art, crafts, story times and everything in between! Our kids are sun bathed and happy 🥰

MAY HIGHLIGHTS! We broke in the new playset, cruised on the bus around town, checked out a new to us park, watched our caterpillars morph into butterflies, practise our scissor skills, visited the pond and the baby geese, celebrated the mommas, baked some carrots muffins and had a build your own pizza lunch!

APRIL! The warmer weather is JUST 😍 we fed the birds, went to the library, dug holes, found worms, ate foods that made us happy, baked cookies from scratch, filled the house with new spring inspired crafts, celebrated Easter, hit up the tri leisure play place, cruised 9272 laps on the sidewalk and most importantly we did It together! 🥰🤪

HOLY COW! March is almost over.. that happened in a blink 🤪
What we’re up to: We took our first field trip to the library on the bus, spent hours creating and experimenting, getting messy and playing loudly, explored the pond and the parks (loving this warmer weather), found alot of treasures, sat around our big bin splashing, scooping, pouring, digging and chatting, we ate together and celebrated a birthday. ❤️

February highlights!! We celebrated Valentines for an entire week, talked about (wished for) Spring, went to the library, spent time baking, went sledding, ate everything with vitamin C in it, made (and wore) slime, fought with our parents about leaving and then passed out at 7pm ❤️
