Last week, some of our students had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Demasduit Regional Museum in Grand Falls-Windsor.
During their visit, students explored fascinating exhibits, learned about the rich history and culture of our province, and engaged in hands-on educational experiences.
A big thank you to the museum staff for sharing their knowledge and helping make this a memorable experience for our students!

Here are some photos from the Grade 9 Field Trip last week!
Our students spent the day exploring the roads and trails of Springdale, walking an impressive 12 kilometres throughout the community. Later they gathered at Dock Cove for a campfire and some well-deserved relaxation.
We are incredibly proud of our students, who were outstanding ambassadors for our school and community. They showed respect for the environment, demonstrated excellent behaviour, and were wonderful stewards of both our school and town throughout the day.
Way to go, Grade 9s! 👏

2026 NLCU Scholarship Program now accepting applications
The NLCU Scholarship Program recognizes the contributions of Newfoundland and Labrador’s community builders of tomorrow, celebrating those who embody the qualities of good citizenship and co-operation. The program offers two scholarships – one suitable for graduating high school students who are enrolled at an accredited university, and one for those enrolled at an accredited college or trade school program with a minimum duration of one (1) year. Each scholarship is worth $3,000.
A poster announcing the program is attached. Information about the NLCU Scholarship Program, including a link to the application form, is available on our website, nlcu.com. Applications will be accepted from graduating high school students who are NLCU members or children of NLCU members at the time of application. Please Note: Only one (1) applicant per 100 graduating students or part thereof from each school will be considered.
If you have promising students who you think would be strong candidates for either scholarship, please ensure they are aware of this opportunity. Completed scholarship applications and supporting documentation must be received no later than September 15, 2026. Scholarship winners will be announced in late autumn/early winter.
If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
