When children explore sensory experiences, they are not simply “playing”—they are touching, noticing, wondering, testing, and discovering the world around them.
As educators, part of our role is to thoughtfully prepare an environment that invites children to explore, wonder, and make their own discoveries. We observe their interests and needs, then carefully choose materials, arrange spaces, and create invitations to play that encourage curiosity and meaningful learning.
