We have just a few spots (and a few cabins!) left for this summer's final Family Night event on August 27th - a Night Under the Stars! Join our outreach team and special guests from Queen's University and the Royal Astronomical Society to explore the cosmos!

Although this week's Family Night event is already sold out, we wanted to highlight and celebrate our Marsh Monsters program! This Thursday, lucky families who have already registered will get to try their hands at limnology, sampling plankton from our wetland and examining these amazing microscopic creatures under the microscope!

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to ; we were awarded their Lake Ecosystem Grant in 2025 and used the money to purchase 9 new microscopes for our aquatics lab... making programs like Marsh Monsters more accessible to all. So thank you!

We are excited to open our series of free summer Family Night programs this Thursday, Jul 16th! This week's program is Wild Watercolours night! Using Elbow lake as real life inspiration, this week's event will be all about painting with watercolours and the connection art has with nature. Here you will have the chance to learn multiple watercolouring techniques and partake in fun painting challenges for you and your family. Please come join us at 7:00pm at Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre, 1400 Hewlett-Packard Lane. We hope to see you there!
