Pebble Beach Swimmers be aware:
If kids are swimming out to the dock at Pebble Beach right now be aware the water is high and there is no shoreline. This means the swim to the dock is an additional 15-18 meters longer than it was last August. This combined with July water temperature challenges a child’s swim ability. Make sure kids take a float(like a pool noodle) with them to the dock or wear a life jacket. A float will keep them above water so they can safely reach the dock or shore again. The weather is hot & kids want to swim. Keep them safe in the water by helping them recognize the water conditions are different than they were at the end of summer last year. A float can prevent a drowning.
