A quick Friday post to finish out the week!🎉

We want to extend a big thank you to the our wonderful summer students! You made the summer run smooth and helped the children learn and grow. We couldn't have done it with out you! Thank you so so much! Best of luck heading back to school and on to your next big adventures!👋

Speaking of next big adventures, to all our children that are moving up into kindergarte, have the best time in school! We will miss having you here in our classes, but we know you will have a great time! 🎊

Have a safe and adventurous school year to all our older students and we can't wait to hear about all you have learned! 👩‍🎓

Howdy! 👋

Today, I give you Maureen. 🙌

Many of you know Maureen as she spent a little time down at Sacred Heart in the preschool room before moving over to the Early On program as an Early On facilitator. She is an Registered Early Childhood Educator as well! She's been with Stcc for 5 years now!

Maureen is one who is also from Port Lambton and has returned to her Port Lambton roots 5 years ago. She is delighted to meet all the young families growing up here and is really feeling that small town community connection!

Maureen is also a chocolate addict! 🍫

We are happy to have Maureen and her experience guiding families in our Early On program! She is very good at it!

It's Monday again!

Another day and another Educator that you get to know more about! 👏

Today I bring forth Danielle! 🎉 Or Dani as she is also known. Danielle is down at the Sacred Heart site in the Toddler room. Dani worked her way through school and was here working for a year before she got her diploma. As of March, she is now a fully fledged Registered Early Childhood Educator! Congratulations Dani! 👩‍🎓

Dani is originally from Corunna but now lives in the great city of Courtright! She is a happy mom of three and a wife too! They have two dogs (of course!) 🐕🐕 Their names are Honey and Lemon. She also has two cats, but due to Dani's status as a dog person their names were left unlisted... (If anyone is counting thats dog people - 11 and cat people- 2).

Dani loves to sing and not just nursery rhymes. She has a lovely voice! Dani also loves to play some musical themed trivia and is really quite good at naming the song or the instrumental song from a movie. 🎶

From watching an apiarist come take a swarm of bees, to painting painting the bikes and having a car wash. The had an excellent summer!

They raised a healthy garden and tried some tomatoes out of it and they also grew some grass caterpillars. They used the flowers they grew to give to Barb (the best cook!)

The preschool room made some lemonade and smoothies and also did some science! The infant room had a lot of fun watching visitors to their bird feeder (even if it was a squirrel) painting and playing with bubbles. All in all, it was a fantastic summer!

Happy Friday everyone! It's finally Friday! Almost the weekend! 🎉

For today's post we have Lori! 👋

Lori is our Financial Coordinator and I can probably say that probably everyone has spoken with her over the phone at some point!

Lori wins the title of "coming from the farthest away to work at this awesome place!" She is originally from Sherwood Park Alberta and now lives in Sarnia! 🛩

Lori has 2 grandkids and 2 dogs. She likes to attend her grandkids hockey games in the winter! Her two dogs are names Roxie and Xena (yes like Xena Warrior Princess Xena!) 🐕🐕

Lori is a natural storyteller and she's always down to tell a good story that will make you laugh! We are happy that Lori came to join us and she's been here 5 years now!

It's Wednesday! You know what that means! 👏

We are proud to showcase the one and only Helanna! 🎉

Helanna, Lanna, Wayna, she's a lady of many nicknames! She is currently hanging out in the preschool room at Sacred Heart as an Early Childhood Assistant. 🙌

Helanna is a Wallaceburger and a proud dog momma to her dog Dixie! 🐕 Something interesting to know about Helanna is her first language is actually French!

Helanna is also a skilled artist and if you see something hand painted or drawn around Sacred Heart, it was likely Helanna who did it! 🖌🖌

So that's Helanna! Two more days until Friday! Woo! 🎉

Welcome back to another entry into our Who's that Educator?! 👏👏

Today's entry features one of our Educators from the Riverview preschool 1 room! It's Heaven!

Heaven is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and has been working at STCC for 6.5 years now.

Heaven has 4 girls, Gia, Tori, Capri and Dakota and is the happiest living the country life. She enjoys nature, gardening and just being outside with her family in general. She also has a couple of barn cats too and is the first Educator in a bit who doesn't own a dog. 🐈🐈 We love having Heaven here with us!

Happppppy Friday Ya'll! 🎉

Welcome back to another round of whos that educator! 👏

Today's edition is going to be a different format, since she wrote me such a great write up about herself and I just can't choose what to put. So here is Sam in her own words! 👋

My name is Samantha Ramsden, Sam to the children, hey you also works to get my attention. There is one child who refers to me as Grandma Sam since she's learned that's what my grandkids call me.

I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator currently in the Full Day Kindergarten room, but I am typically in the Preschool room. I've done 8 years of the preschool room in the morning and School age in the afternoon. The children think I live here and after 16 years, I'd consider it my second home. I've done 16 years of full time plus 2 years prior as a student and call in staff.

I am originally a Blenhiemite, but I've been in Sombra for 2/3 of my life. (Basically since I could legally drive). I am a mom of 6, who's ages range from 11-30, a grandma of 6, with a spouse that tolerates my crazy ideas and shares my love of kayaking, camping, and day trips. 🚗💨

I also have a very large (appropriately named) puppy called Moose. However, he's also known as the Scaredy Chicken. I also have a full tank of fish (minus some shady snails that keep sneaking out of the tank at night). 🐌🧐

Some fun facts about me - I am an avid beach glass and shiny rock hoarder. I love to cook (but struggle to reduce portions to feed less than 10 people). I have a tendency to house and feed anyone who lacks a support system. I worked doing railroad repairs as a teen. My dad is a musician with an album, meanwhile I struggle to carry a tune in a bucket. My favourite day trips consist of a left, right, straight method of determining our adventure and each stop on the road.

There you have it. The one and only Sam!
