Nursery Rhyme Daycare Centre

It’s been busy in childcare this past month or two! The family age group explored the circus to great effect, the animals even joined in, and preschool learned about pirates, ships, treasure and all things deserted island.
Theme teaching offers a starting point for establishing interests, educators then expand on and follow the parts children find most enjoyable. The treasure chest started a container and filling exploration in preschool for example .

Children are naturally fascinated by nature , and we support and extend this interest through a variety of experiences. This one (inspired by another provider) has all the elements needed to help kids ask questions, test theories and expand understanding related to bees, sensory input, engineering and the natural environment. ❤️

Lots of sensory experiences builds regulation skills in young children. By integrating tactile, olfactory, gustatory, visual and aural information along with proprioceptive and vestibular inputs children’s nervous systems are able to ‘get to calm’ and have a wider window of tolerance for frustration.
