Topping off the week with our summer Halloween celebration because who doesn’t love Halloween?! 🎃 👻

What a start to a fun filled week. On Tuesday we had a visit from Junkyard Symphony, and we laughed, danced, clapped, and made lots of memories. A big shout out to Krystle for taking one for the team with her awesome dance moves. Overheard from one of our kids “Krystle is a really great dancer”!

Thanks Junkyard Symphony for an unforgettable afternoon. We loved it ❤️

What an amazing day of learning and discovery!
This week we welcomed the keepers to our centre for a special visit with their rescue animals. Our children had the opportunity to meet a chinchilla, a bunny, a boa constrictor, a bearded dragon, a turtle, and even a tarantula! There were lots of smiles, curious questions, and a few brave little hands eager to gently meet some very special visitors!
A big thank you to the Keepers for sharing their wonderful rescue animals and creating such a memorable experience for our children. ❤️

Today’s the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic 🎵 A big thank you to our amazing cook, Temple, for the delicious lunch. The preschoolers and their bears loved it! You sure know how to make us feel special 💛

Our school-age groups had a fantastic visit today from the Smiths Falls Police Service, who spent time teaching us all about bike safety.

The children learned:
The meaning of common road signs
Proper hand signals for safe riding
Why wearing a helmet is one of the most important ways to stay safe on every ride

A heartfelt thank you to Constable Karine Gauthier, Constable Sean Keogan, Special Constable Ashley Ferrier, and the Youth in Policing Initiative for taking the time to share their knowledge and help our children build safe cycling habits. We truly appreciate your partnership and your commitment to keeping our community safe!

Today, we celebrate the diversity, kindness, and community that make Canada such a special place to call home. Wishing all our families, friends, and neighbours a day filled with celebration and unforgettable memories.

This morning, our schoolage kids celebrated the last day of school with a fun glow party! We laughed, danced, and made some wonderful memories together. It was also a bittersweet day as we said goodbye to some of our friends who are moving on. While we're excited for their next adventures, they will be deeply missed. Thank you for being such an important part of our Rideau family, we wish you all the best!

Yesterday we celebrated big dreams, growing minds, and our little graduates. Watching these children learn, laugh, and thrive has been a joy. As they move on to their next adventure, we know amazing things await them. Kindergarten here they come!!

One of our school-age children put their creativity and observation skills to work this week by drawing portraits of some of our amazing educators and our wonderful cook! We love seeing the children express themselves through art while celebrating the caring relationships they build with our team.
