District Policy Consultation:

The Board of Education is currently requesting feedback from its stakeholders on the following draft policies: Policies #3, #4 and #5.

The consultation letter and draft policies can be found on the District’s website at https://www.sd54.bc.ca/district-news/

The current policy consultation period will run from July 3, 2026 to September 10, 2026.

National Indigenous Peoples Day takes place near the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. For generations, many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities have celebrated their cultures, languages, and traditions at this time of year. The summer solstice holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for many Indigenous Peoples, marking a time of renewal, connection, and celebration.

Around this date, schools in School District 54 participate in activities to celebrate and recognize this important day. Students have the opportunity to take part in fun and meaningful experiences while learning more about Indigenous cultures and traditions.

The last day of classes is Thursday, June 25, 2026. Please note that students will be dismissed at 12:00 PM (noon).

All school buses will run at dismissal time!
