Truth and Reconciliation is an important part of building a better future. It asks us to acknowledge the truth of our shared history, create space for Indigenous voices and experiences, and continue learning about what reconciliation can look like in our everyday lives. Taking the time to recognize this day is one small but meaningful step toward understanding, respect, and healing. Dance classes will continue as usual, but I encourage our Dancin’ Kids families to participate in the community walk from Town Hall to the Friendship Centre at 11:00 a.m., if you are able. Coming together as a community to listen, learn, reflect, and honour this important day is something we can all be a part of.
