We had a wonderful ribbon skirt making workshop on Sunday! These lovely ladies are modeling the ribbon skirts they made. A huge thank you to Pauline Auger for teaching the class, and the Slave Lake Native Friendship Centre for partnering with Slave Lake Adult Education on this workshop. We timed the class for the weekend before National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day), Sept. 30.
We hope to offer ribbon skirt making again, maybe in early January to line up with National Ribbon Skirt Day (January 4).
