PFFNHS and PFC are saddened to hear of the passing of former student Jordan D. Meekis. Jordan graduated from PFFNHS in May 2025. Jordan will be remembered as an intelligent student with a bright future, who had a positive impact on all who knew him. Jordan will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched. As the school year winds down, we want to take a moment to celebrate an incredible curling season at Pelican Falls First Nations High School 🥌

Both our male and female teams had a very successful year, competing in three bonspiels and qualifying for NORWOSSA. Along the way, our athletes took on the challenge of learning a completely new sport, showing determination, teamwork, and growth in every match.

We are so proud of all our curlers for their hard work and sportsmanship—you represented our school with pride!

Male Team:
Skip Tyreese Skunk, Vice Louie Beardy, Damien Koostachin, Jayden Tait, Braydon Fox

Female Team:
Skip Sapphira Martin, Sharae McKay, Tanisha Fiddler, Jaelynn Bighead-Mekanak, Lila Nothing

To our graduating athletes, we encourage you to keep curling and carrying forward everything you’ve learned this season. To our returning curlers, we can’t wait to see what next year brings!

Great job, everyone! 👏

Last weekend, we were proud to gather for a beautiful Powwow filled with energy, connection, and tradition. From the powerful drum groups to the vibrant regalia, every moment was a reminder of the strength and resilience of Indigenous culture.

Thank you to the Elders, organizers, dancers, singers, and all those who travelled near and far to be part of this special event at PFFNHS. Your presence and spirit made the weekend unforgettable. A big thank you to our sponsors as well. PFFNHS is excited to host next year again!

A big shoutout to Maggie Fiddler for some amazing photos!📸
