CanShield Training & Outdoors is a local (Sioux Lookout) based company that focuses on creating opportunities to build confidence or gain experience in the outdoor pursuits.

These 3 hour sessions can be almost anything you want relating to an outdoor activity; guided adventure/experience, skills or confidence building or an opportunity to try something new.

Let us help you. Our background is in more technical training, but our passion is exploring and fun in the areas around Sioux Lookout.

If you have a wish, bucket list activity or an outdoor pursuit you've been wanting to try but need a little guidance or equipment, let us know, we can probably help.

We work with you to tailor your experienceto be exactly what you want. If you have questions or ideas to enjoy some of what Sioux Lookout has to offer, send us a PM.

One of my favorite aspects of being in my position is the opportunity to work with other agencies, to enhance training and expand opportunities... pictures attached are exactly that, an Ice Rescue course we're hosting here, with a partner agency and Fire Fighters/Instructors from all across Ontario.

Any day we get to train is a good day.

Focusing on expanding your experiences in and around Sioux Lookout, these can be used for anything from a guided adventure or to spend some time learning a new skill - the sky's the limit.

Good for up to 2 people through the 2024 calendar year gift certificates are available for $75 each.

All equipment will be supplied. Exact details and arrangements of your personalized adventure will be made with you in advance for an agreed upon date.

Had a great day with SWAC. It was a good group, beautiful weather, we had a lot of fun, laughs and practiced some basic outdoors skills. The group gained confidence in thier abilities and everyone learned something.
