PLAR AT WAHSA What is PLAR?

Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) is designed to enable mature students (18+) to earn up to sixteen equivalent Grade 9 and 10 credits with the successful completion of up to five tests.

Many students leave school early to become parents with plans to finish later. While raising their children, many parents know the importance of education and want to instill the value of an education to their children. PLAR works for students who need to still be at home with their young children. Patricia completed PLAR and is very close to graduating with her grade 12 diploma. She is very confident and very proud of her accomplishment and she is thankful PLAR helped her reach her education goals.
