Our Level 2 Agri-Business Management students completed a project on 'Why We Can't Stop Eating' in their Issues in the Agri-Food Industry course with Professor Wanda Jacobs.

Students proudly showcased their research and shared what they learned with faculty, staff, and fellow students. Everyone was invited to vote for their favourite project, but if you ask us, every single one was ! πŸŒΎπŸ‘

Are you starting a program in September? If so, don't forget to complete your WRIT assessment! πŸ“

For students starting in September 2026, the WRIT assessment is available online from Monday, June 8 through Friday, August 14.

What is WRIT?

WRIT is a 14-week foundational literacy course that develops students’ critical thinking, argumentation and persuasion, and writing skills, and is required by most programs at the college.* Students enrolled in a program that requires a WRIT credit are enrolled into the WRIT course by default, and the course typically appears on student timetables in the first semester.

Before the fall semester starts, we're taking a moment to celebrate one of Norfolk County's incredible wildlife residents! πŸ¦‰

Tuesday, August 4 is International Owl Awareness Day, a day to recognize the important role owls play in our ecosystems and to raise awareness about the challenges they face, including habitat loss, climate change, and human activity.

As part of Ontario's Carolinian Zone, we're lucky to share our region with several owl species. Protecting natural habitats helps ensure these fascinating nocturnal birds continue to thrive for generations to come.

Happy International Owl Awareness Day! πŸ¦‰πŸŒΏ
