Muddy Adventures Summer Camp.

What better way to be a kid then getting dirty playing in the mud, digging in the dirt, cooling off on the slip & slide, digging up dinosaurs, and exploding volcanoes. Our camps give kids the opportunity to have fun, connect to nature, make friends and be free to be a kid outdoors in nature. 🐾🌞🌳

Campers got to meet some chicks and say hi to the cows from the Homestead. We had a great time fishing, found lots of grasshoppers, investigated some water bugs and had a relaxing sit spot looking for birds. So much fun exploring nature and making memories with new friends!

Week 3 of Norfolk Summer camp -
Nature's Bucket List
These campers got to check off everything from their summer " to do " list. All the nature stuff....building fires, playing in the sprinkler, crafting with nature, exploring the forest and making memories with new friends.

Brant Day Camp week 2

How special to have a teenaged volunteer! Lemon Shark got her nature name this week and has been with us as a Forest School kid forever! We love having youth join us and the kids love them. Thanks to Lemon Shark for her help!

Many core memories were made during this week. Nature day camp how it should be! Creek play, making forts, climbing trees, stick play, crafts, new and old favourite games, cooking marshmallows and more.

Crafts were eco friendly and a hit. Friends got to use cool supplies and tools, get creative and playful or in focused work mode!

We learned all about nature including bird language, edible and dangerous plants, bugs and nuts.

We also learned about maps, fire and outdoor safety and how to be respectful to nature, ourselves and others.

So much experiential learning: connecting the dots between observations, experimenting, cause and effect, astute questions and field guide time. At circle a butterfly or bird would usually visit us - a special moment by itself that also led to inquiry, mentoring, mindfulness and new understanding.

Happy and tired kids! Have a wonderful rest of your summer, get outside and be safe!

Come join our Nature community! Witness your child embrace nature while you connect with like-minded families. Learn to nature mentor your wee ones. Spend the morning around the fire singing songs, wandering the forest, and nature crafting.

Day Camp in Brant!
So many exciting activities and thrilling nature sightings. We shared our gratitudes and highlights throughout the week which included playing with friends, food and family. Great weather - just one day with some thunderstorms. We were sheltered and hosted by the Brant Rod and Gun Club - HUGE THANKS! New friends, new nature knowledge and how to care for nature. Time to be a kid and do all the things - climb trees, play in puddles, forage for berries safely, dip net in a pond, listen to birds, learn to respect bugs and plants. Caring nature mentors and much laughter at the Goldenrod and Sun Club.
