Light's On Mediated Learning Centre offers tutoring for all subjects and grade levels
as well as select post-secondary courses. We also offer Cognitive Intervention
for all ages. We seek to tailor a plan for an individual's specific learning needs.

Don't get it twisted, I don't believe that math scores and math skills are even remotely the same thing! But when the #pisa scores came out, I asked a bunch of teachers and tutors if they thought that their students had fewer math skills today than when they started teaching, and they unanimously said YES! Getting better at math starts with getting better at taking risks✨ Math is all about: 🙋‍♀️ Asking questions (even when you feel nervous bc you think you should already know the answer:) 🦶Taking a first step to find a solution, even when you have no idea what that first step should be! ❌Making mistakes over and over again, learning from those mistakes, and moving forward! 💥Trying NEW ways to learn concepts + solve problems until you figure out what works for you! What do those 4 things have in common? The will to TAKE RISKS!
