Congratulations to Nataliya and Collin for both placing FIRST in their competitions today! Nataliya in the International Speech contest, and Collin in the Humorous Speech contest.
They’ll be continuing on to compete at the Toastmasters District conference. Let’s go there and cheer them on!

Calling All District 99 Toastmasters!
The Sherwood Park Tall Tales Contest is coming up fast on Wednesday, November 26th at 7 PM, and we’re still looking for brave, bold, and brilliantly imaginative contestants!
If you’ve ever thought, “Maybe I should try a contest one day…” — this is the one. Tall Tales are playful, creative, and wonderfully over-the-top. No need for perfect precision… just jump in and have fun with it!
Why compete?
Because you’ll:
- Stretch your creativity in ways normal speeches don’t allow
- Strengthen your storytelling skills — one of the most powerful tools a speaker can have
- Build confidence speaking outside your comfort zone
- Get huge support (and laughs!) from a warm, friendly room
- Add a contest experience to your Toastmasters journey
- Bond with your fellow toastmasters in a really memorable way
- Have an opportunity to have your speech evaluated for Pathways credit
- Compete for a trophy to hold for one year confirming your accomplishment
