God has blessed us with unique talents, passions, and gifts, and this week Grade 1B shared them with each other! Mrs. Beliveau became the student, and the children took turns being the teacher. It was such a joy seeing students light up and share their passions!

The students explored different languages, tackled hands-on science experiments, created several imaginative crafts, learned a code-breaking game, and even practiced some sports!

What an amazing week. It was a great opportunity for everyone to lead the learning and to share their special gifts.

This week our school community celebrated the journey of education. We celebrated our wonderful kinder grads as they take their first big leap, and we were blessed to welcome back our graduating high school seniors for their traditional Grad Walk. The senior grads also had fun being kids once again with the parachute!

Our Year End Mass and Grade Four Farewell was a joyful celebration!

Our Grade 1 classes enjoyed a sun-filled day of discovery at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, exploring how animals move and survive. Through the “Animal Movers and Shakers” program, students connected their science learning to real-life observations, from swinging gibbons to a blue-tongued skink named Pepperoni!

Students spent the afternoon exploring the zoo with our amazing volunteers, following their curiosities and even discovering that the peregrine falcon is the fastest animal on Earth (faster than a cheetah!).

It was a spectacular adventure from start to finish, and surprisingly, not a single student fell asleep on the bus ride home!

As we honour Indigenous History month, Dallas Arcand, 4 time World Hoop Dance Champion shared time with us and wowed us with his many talents. His story telling, flute playing, gift of a book he wrote and his dancing had us all inspired and grateful.

Mr. Kucy brought his love for golf into his gym class! The students were learning proper swing techniques and had a chance to practice their drives. Lucky kids! 🏌🏻‍♀️🏌️
