Connection, Perception, Relationship in Service to Human Development and Equine Wellbeing

01/01/2026

As we enter the Year of the Fire Horse, I’ve been sitting with what this energy truly asks of us.

Not force.
Not urgency.
But alignment.

The horse reminds us of intuition, sovereignty, and embodied truth.
Fire brings courage, activation, and forward movement.

This year invites us to listen more deeply — to Source, to ourselves, and to our horses.
To trust the wisdom already moving through the body.
To let our inner fire guide, rather than drive.

The work is not to become more,
but to attune more deeply to what is already alive within us.

May this year be one of attunement, clarity, and quiet power.
May your intuition lead.
May your fire be steady.
May your power feel like home.

A new frequency is here.

With warmth,
Leah

Welcome Back to the

EQUUS ATTUNED

Community!

It's Summer Time!

We often spend more time with our horses outside in the summer. Usually we are doing activities, but if you are part of this community, likely you are spending more intentional time with your horses and their herds as well. Sometimes we are participating in a mindfulness activity, a meditation, giving back to our horses by simply sharing space, doing a Heart Lock-In, and any number of other intentional interactions (want more ideas? Module 7 of the EQUUS EMPOWERED program will help!).

In doing so we may notice more intentional interactions between herd mates, especially if they are recently free of their fly/rain/summer sheets. What does that interaction look like? Most horse people call it "Mutual Grooming". Michigan State University states, "Grooming behaviors, such as rolling, autogrooming (self grooming) and allogrooming (mutual grooming) are important to a horse's comfort." (https://www.canr.msu.edu/videos/horse-behavior-mutual-grooming).

However, members of this community know there is more to it! The key is to investigate further.

🐴Who is that "itchy" at the same time in the same place?
🐴What is the science of an itch? Does it always present as an itch?

🐴How does the Myofascial System relate to the vibrational systems within the bodies of both horse and human?
🐴What are the scientific theories behind those systems?
🐴Why are the intentional placements of where the horses "groom" each other important and provide insight regarding physiology and emotions?

🐴If, as part of their culture, horses "groom" each other with intention related to balancing vibrational systems, physiology, and emotion do they offer the same to humans?
🐴Have you noticed intentional interactions from your horses and intuitively known that there was something deeper? Did they nuzzle, breathe, lean, hold space intentionally?
🐴Did you sense there may have been a message they were conveying? Or the offering of guidance and energetic exchange creating a positive shift?

As a member of this community, it's likely that you have noticed these things!

⭐️Would you would like the answers to the questions above and to learn more about the wellness and balance that horses facilitate through their method of guidance and exchange?

The 9 Week, 9 Module online program, EQUUS EMPOWERED, provides those answers and much more through theory, hands on activities, and weekly group meetings.

Enrolment for end of summer and fall sessions are now open!
