We’re grateful for the many positive role models who help fill those important spaces in a child’s life.

In our nature programs, young children build a deep, hands-on connection to nature and all the wonderful creatures that call it home. In fact, our little explorers feel right at home in nature, too.

At ReWild Nature Program, kids spend their days exploring, discovering, creating, and connecting with nature. Rain or shine. From puddle jumping and fort building to sunny trail adventures, every day outdoors brings new opportunities to learn and grow.

We'd like to thank The Home Depot in Sherwood Park for their gifts!

They've donated buckets (which kids LOVE) and loose parts like planks of wood, that we can use for imaginative and creative play in our forest programs. They also sent some team members as volunteers to the BGC Club Day celebration.

We appreciate your partnership and all that you do to support children and youth in our community!

Until June 14, you can donate to BGC Strathcona County at The Home Depot through the Orange Door Campaign. Donations are accepted at checkout, and 100% of funds will go directly to our programs.

BGC Club Day was a huge success over the weekend, and we couldn't have done it without our community partners!

Today, for BGC Club Day, a BGC flag was raised at Strathcona County Hall.

Here are some proud members of our team, happy to represent the impact of BGC Clubs across Canada and in Strathcona County. This flag represents 25 years of our local BGC showing up for young people in our community, providing mentorship, support, meals, memories and a place to belong.

Every day kids and youth walking through the doors and find connection, encouragement, safe spaces, caring staff who see their potential and so many unique opportunities that set them up for life.

BGC Club Day highlights our important work, but it also highlights our community. It’s mentorship over meals, confidence built through recreation and learning, and relationships that can change the direction of a young person’s life.

For over 125 years across Canada and more than two decades here at home, BGC Clubs have been helping young people grow into resilient, confident individuals.

Today, we celebrate that legacy and the everyday impact happening right here in Strathcona County. Happy !
