THIS WEEK AT THE GAIT

HOCO may be over, but the party never stops. This is a week for music theme nights 🗣️ from early 2000s, to Afro beats, to live open mic!

TUESDAY - The Happy Hour Club is hosting a speed friending event! It’s a perfect opportunity to have a discount drink and meet new people 💪

THURSDAY - The Gait open at 7pm? That’s right! Starting THIS WEEK we are opening earlier for calmer activities. Early class on Friday or you’re too tired to stay out late? Stop by at 7pm for Open Mic night. Welcoming all to perform or watch. Bring your instruments! After 9pm DJ ZAIJA will takeover with an explorative set with Afrobeats & Caribbean music.

SATURDAY - so many people’s favourite theme is back. ITS Y2K! DJ DUXX will be playing Throwbacks all night.

Hoco 2026 is FINALLY here! Welcoming new and current students as well as cherished alumni for a weekend of sports, parties, and BU Pride. BleedPurple? One may say.

TUESDAY: Support this year’s Charity Fashion Show by attending a Sip & Thrift with a Dancing with the Stars watch party. Proceeds go to Champions Pour La Vie! Donating has never been this fun 👚🍷

THURSDAY: Classic Bishop’s HOCO is back with a hurricane of purple! You can even have your drink match your outfit with a delicious Blackberry spritz, either in single, double, or mocktail form! DJ Fennell has an incredible set prepared. Recommended a song or a genre on our Instagram? You just might hear it tonight! 🎉

SATURDAY: Cheers to our BU pride - join us for a post game reception at the Gait from 2:30-6:00! Doors may open at 11:30 if it’s a rainy day so Gaiters can watch the game nice and dry. PITCHERS will be discounted 🍻
HOCO ON THE HILL - get the chance to be potentially a part of a new BU Hoco Tradition! The Gait will temporarily move outside to support a carnival party experience with food trucks, games, and incredible music, courtesy of DJ MEEKS and DJ K-SPINZ.

THIS WEEK AT THE GAIT

Is it all starting to feel real with classes, readings, and the cooler weather? None of that exists at The Gait this week! We party like it’s August ☀️

Tuesday: The Gait will be hosting an open mic night from 7pm to MIDNIGHT! Stop by to show off your talents or support your friends and fellow Gaiters. We’ll have microphones and an amplifier, but BRING YOUR OWN INSTRUMENTS OR PROPS 🎸🎭. We’ll have discounted drinks and fancy mocktails for ONLY $4!

Thursday: Get on the dance floor with DJ MADDUX’s house beats. Jagerbombs will be on special tonight to keep me party going 💪

Saturday: We’re celebrating the end of summer no matter the weather! Summer ends when we say it does. Put on your best beach party outfit, sip a $9 Malibu Bay Breeze 🍹, and enjoy DJREW’s incredible set.

Welcome back, Gaiters! 💜 💜 Whether you’re stepping into the Gait for the first time or coming back home after three long months, the wait is officially over! Here is what’s happening this week:
* Monday, Sept 7: Massive shoutout to our incredible performers! The Froshies absolute loved the Drag Show & Bingo. We can’t wait to have them back on stage soon.
* Thursday, Sept 10 (Intro to the Gait): Froshies, it’s your turn to shine! Only a few more days to pick your songs. Grab the mic for Karaoke from 9:30–11:00 PM, then stick around as DJ Fennell takes over to deliver the full Gait experience.
* Saturday, Sept 12 (Welcome Back Night): We’re getting the gang back together. The Gait is open to everyone! Proudly wear a White Lie shirt. Pro Tip: Tell your bartender your best white lie—“I’m only having one”—to unlock our double fizzy gummy bear drink special for just $9.

Here at last, the final Gait night of the 2025-2026 Academic year! 😔

Come visit us tomorrow, Wednesday April 8th! The Gait opens up to the public from 10pm-2am. It’s time to dress up, party, and say goodbye to the grads. The Gaitor will miss you as much as you’ll miss The Gait ❤️

Thursday: FINAL THURSDAY GAIT NIGHT! We’re keeping it accessible and fun with wearing your favourite colour. We need your help to make the dance floor look like a pack of rainbow crayons! Great beats from DJ Zaïja all night.

Rest of week: We’ll be apart from each other during Easter Weekend 😔

Something is a brewing!

The academic year is coming to an end. Only three more Gait nights until Fall 2026.

Here are this week’s events at Gait.

Thursday: Wear the brightest clothes in your closet and get ready for an EDM rave-influenced party. We’ll have glow sticks until supply runs out. Get yourself a sweet and sour neon nightmare for only $7!

Saturday: Get ready for the final Saturday Gait night of this year! The theme is end of the millennium. Dress up in an iconic late 90s or Y2K outfit and dance the nightaway to throwbacks. Get your $7 vodka cranberry and call it a cosmopolitan!

Thursday: nowhere to wear it! We know that outfit that you keep saying “maybe next time” to has been hiding in your closet all year. Time to bust it out. We talking whacky, we talking weird. This is your chance!!!! Dj Millz will be spinning till 1am.

Saturday: Lake day!! Remember those summer nights you just never forget, let’s make it happen at The Gait!! Minus the mosquitos of course. DJ FENNELL will be playing all the classic lake day songs. If you come smelling like a campfire, no big deal.
