The Williams School of Business is dedicated to providing a high-quality undergraduate business education within the liberal education tradition of the university. Class sizes allow faculty to ensure that all students get involved in the learning process. Students are also encouraged to participate in class from their very first business courses, allowing them to develop both their ideas and self-confidence.

Get ready for BIZTEC! Whether you’re dropping in between classes for 20 minutes or staying the whole afternoon, here is what you need to know:

- Dress code: Keep it smart casual—think clean, neat, and professional, like what you’d wear to a class presentation.
- CVs: Not strictly required, but bringing copies is strongly recommended to make a memorable first impression. No CV? No problem—let’s network!
- Employment status: Even if you’re already employed, BIZTEC is a fantastic way to build your network, explore future roles, and sharpen your skills.
- Language: French is not required to attend.

This month, we are proud to highlight Mariana Rodriguez, an outstanding third-year B.B.A. student double majoring in Human Resources & Management with a Minor in French Studies!

Trilingual in English, French, and Spanish, Mariana has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, inclusion, and community building through her involvement as Co-Lead of the Women in Business Society, Diversity Director for the Bishop’s Charity Fashion Show, HR Intern at Bishop’s University through the CO-OP program, and former Diversity Representative for the SRC. A Ronald Crowley Scholarship recipient and CEOx1Day Ottawa Semi-Finalist, her academic and professional experiences reflect a passion for creating meaningful impact. From arriving in Canada in 2019 speaking only Spanish to now thriving in three languages, Mariana’s journey is a testament to resilience, growth, and leadership, and we are excited to see the positive contributions she will continue to make within and beyond the Bishop’s community!
