Northeast Greenland National Park — a pretty incredible place to spend time in a kayak. 🏔️🛶

Paddling through remote fjords surrounded by massive icebergs, rugged mountains and open ocean, with the occasional curious seal coming by to check out the kayakers. 🦭🧊

And then there are the sunsets… 🌅

Another few days of guiding in a part of the world that feels about as wild and remote as it gets. 🇬🇱

One kayak, two polar regions. 🛶❄️

I’ve been paddling the P&H Virgo in both Antarctica and Greenland, where these boats have been chosen for guides and guests because of their combination of durability, handling and performance in some pretty demanding environments. 🌊🧊

I was pretty happy to finally get one of my own this past summer from Mike and Krystle at Old Creel Canoe & Kayak in Fall River, NS. It’s been a great addition to the fleet — and one that I’m looking forward to putting plenty more miles on.

Recent days guiding in Greenland have brought a little bit of everything — a bearded seal lounging on an iceberg, a polar bear catching a nap, a humpback whale launching out of the water, and plenty of time navigating ice and fjords by Zodiac. 🦭🐻‍❄️🐋🛥️

Add in icebergs, dramatic mountains, and kayakers quietly making their way through the landscape, and it’s tough to beat a day out here. 🏔️🧊🛶

Scoresbysund — where the scale of the landscape is hard to comprehend. 🏔️🧊

Towering mountains, icebergs drifting through the fjords, muskoxen on the shoreline, and the remains of Thule dwellings that hint at the people who travelled and lived here long before us.

And then there’s the paddling — kayaks moving quietly through some of Greenland’s most dramatic scenery. 🛶❄️

A pretty incredible place to spend a few days guiding. 🇬🇱

🛶✨ Calm waters, towering mountains, and endless blue skies in Southeast Greenland. 🇬🇱

Paddling beneath the dramatic peaks near Thrym Glacier, where the water is glassy, the air is crisp, and the scale of the landscape makes you feel wonderfully small. 🏔️💙

Days like this are hard to call work. 🌊☀️

There are places where the landscape feels almost unreal… and Skoldungen, Greenland is one of them. 🏔️🛶🇬🇱

Rugged peaks rising straight from the sea, quiet waters to paddle through, and that incredible Arctic alpenglow painting everything in gold. ✨🌅

I was lucky enough to help guide this trip and share a few unforgettable days with an amazing group of paddlers. There’s something pretty special about experiencing Greenland from the seat of a sea kayak — surrounded by mountains, ice, and a whole lot of wild. 🧊🌊

Paddling alongside towering mountains, gliding through crystal-clear Arctic waters, and sharing these wild landscapes with incredible people. 🏔️🌊

Some days, the view is the destination. Other days, the journey is the destination. Here, it’s both. 🇬🇱✨

Some places make you stop paddling for a moment and just take it all in. 🛶❄️🏔️

Greenland is one of those places.

Sea kayaking beneath towering glaciers, surrounded by mountains, and exploring the remains of Erik the Red’s settlement from more than 1,000 years ago — all from the seat of a sea kayak. 🌊🧊⛰️

Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work as a sea kayak guide in this wild and fascinating corner of the world. 🇬🇱

There’s something pretty special about slowing down, finding your rhythm, and letting the islands set the pace. 🌿🌊
