They set education policies that reflect the aspirations of the community and that are consistent with overall provincial guidelines. ❄️🎶 Festival du Voyageur Fun at Walter Whyte School! 🎶❄️

Walter Whyte School was filled with music, laughter, and celebration at their annual Festival du Voyageur feast on February 20th! Chair Kublick and Trustees' Johnston and Barker joined staff and students as they immersed themselves in rich Métis traditions and hands-on cultural experiences throughout the day.

From a beautiful Métis beading workshop and faceless doll creation, to lively spoon playing, exciting toboggan races, taffy eating, and so much more - there was something for everyone to enjoy!

Events like these help bring history to life and celebrate the vibrant culture and traditions that are such an important part of our community. ❤️

Today, Lord Selkirk School Division acknowledges the 4 year anniversary of the war in Ukraine.

We recognize the profound impact this conflict continues to have on individuals, families, and communities, including members of our own division. We stand in solidarity with those affected and hold space for reflection, remembrance, and hope for peace.

Our thoughts are with all who continue to experience loss, displacement, and uncertainty.

A number of Trustees and Senior Administration were honoured to take part in Ruth Ho**er School’s Annual Winter Feast yesterday, joining students and staff for a meaningful celebration.

The gathering was enriched by heartfelt words from Elder Edna and the beautiful drumming and singing of Marlena Muir, reminding everyone of the importance of community, culture, and connection.

🎅🥞 Breakfast with Santa at Ruth Ho**er School! 🎁✨
The Board of Trustees extends a heartfelt thank you to Ruth Ho**er School for hosting such an incredible Breakfast with Santa event. Students enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast and received a wrapped gift—creating a truly magical morning.

Trustees Bogaski and Henry, along with Board Chair Kublick, thoroughly enjoyed spending time with students, families, staff, and volunteers.
